About Finucane
Finucane is a locality in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, on Finucane Island beside the Port Hedland harbour. The island was chosen in the 1960s as the site of a company town and port for the Goldsworthy iron ore operation, and the first shipments of iron ore from the region were loaded there in 1966.
