About South Lake
South Lake is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, within the City of Cockburn, located approximately 22 kilometres south of the Perth central business district. Part of the former Jandakot Agricultural Area, the suburb was established in the early 1980s on land that had been used for market gardening since the 1880s, with the name approved in August 1982. The suburb contains South Lake Primary School and Lakeland Senior High School.
