About Banjup
Banjup is a rural suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located 25 kilometres south of the CBD within the City of Cockburn. Its name derives from the Noongar word "bangup", meaning quokka. Settled in 1890 as part of the Jandakot Agricultural Area, it sits on the Jandakot Water Mound, which limits development density. The suburb features the Jandakot Regional Park, hobby farms, horse keeping, and horticulture.
