About Atwell
Atwell is a residential suburb about 21 km south of Perth in the City of Cockburn. Named after Ernest Atwell, who owned a 175-acre block in the Jandakot Agricultural Area from the late 1890s, the suburb is a family-oriented community with parks and reserves. It is close to Cockburn Central railway station and Gateway Shopping City, with the Harvest Lakes development completed in 2008.
