About Ashendon
Ashendon is a suburb in the City of Armadale about 44 km south-east of Perth, gazetted in 2006 and formerly part of Karragullen. It adjoins the Canning Dam, a heritage-listed concrete gravity dam built across the Canning River and completed in 1940, which supplies water to Perth. McNess Drive, the main road through Ashendon, provides access to the dam weir and picnic area.
