About Pinjar
Pinjar is a rural locality in the City of Wanneroo, approximately 40 kilometres north of Perth CBD. The name is of Noongar origin, likely meaning tadpole or swampy lake, referring to the large wetland system in the area. The locality is dominated by the Gnangara Pine Plantation and associated wetlands, and remains largely undeveloped despite rapid suburban growth in surrounding areas to its south and east.
