About Balbarrup

Balbarrup is a rural locality in the South West region of Western Australia, within the Shire of Manjimup, about 5 kilometres east of the town of Manjimup. Originally named Manjimup when first recorded in 1863, it was renamed Balbarrup in 1910 when the modern town of Manjimup was established to the west. The surrounding landscape is dominated by karri and jarrah forests, and five heritage-listed places exist in the locality.
