About Wallacedale

Wallacedale is a remote rural locality in the Glenelg Shire in Victoria's far south-west, created by the draining of the Condah Swamp in the late 1800s. The flat to gently undulating volcanic plains are used for sheep and cattle grazing, lying about 28 kilometres south-west of Hamilton, with the wider Condah Swamp area holding significant Aboriginal heritage including stone fish traps and shelters near Lake Condah.
