About Skenes Creek

Skenes Creek is a coastal locality in the Shire of Colac Otway in Victoria, near Apollo Bay. It was named by surveyor George Smythe after his fellow surveyor Alexander Skene, who became the Victorian Surveyor General in 1868. Skene's Creek State School served the district from 1887 until 1945.
