About Forrest (Vic.)
Forrest is a small town in the Otway Ranges of Victoria, approximately 27 kilometres south-east of Colac and known as the "Gateway to the Otways". The town has reinvented itself from its timber and dairy origins into a popular adventure tourism destination, with world-class mountain bike trails, platypus tours at Lake Elizabeth, and access to Stevensons Falls. The West Barwon River flows through the township.
