About Dreeite
Dreeite is a rural locality in the Colac Otway Shire of south-west Victoria, situated in fertile country east of Lake Corangamite and about 18 kilometres north-west of Colac. Named after an 1840s pastoral run, the area was subdivided for soldier settlement farms after World War I and retains remnants of that era including dry-stone walls. Dairy and beef cattle grazing dominate the rolling green landscape between Colac and the Otway Ranges.
