About Carlisle River
Carlisle River is a rural locality and small farming village in the Otway Ranges of south-western Victoria, situated approximately 30 kilometres south-west of Colac. The Carlisle River, a tributary of the Gellibrand River, flows through the forested hills, and the area has a farming and saw-milling history dating to the 1890s.
