About St James (Vic.)
St James is a town in the Shire of Moira in northern Victoria, about 48 km east of Shepparton. It grew up after selectors began taking up land in the district, the first selection being made around 1870. The town is remembered as the location of the first business of G.J. Coles, founder of the Coles retail group, and sits on the Oaklands railway line.
