About Wycheproof

Wycheproof is a rural town in the centre of the Shire of Buloke in north-western Victoria, approximately 276 kilometres north-west of Melbourne. The town is famous for Mount Wycheproof, a granite outcrop rising just 43 metres above the surrounding plain and recognised as the smallest registered mountain in the world. The railway line runs along the centre of Broadway, the main street, and the town hosts the annual King of the Mountain race up the mount.
