About Slaty Creek
Slaty Creek is a rural locality spanning the Shires of Loddon and Northern Grampians in the North West region of Victoria, located about 198 kilometres from Melbourne. Situated on the traditional lands of the Dja Dja Wurrung people, the landscape features broad agricultural land with eucalypt woodland on elevated areas, and the Slaty Creek Memorial Hall built in 1958 commemorates World War II fallen soldiers as the community's meeting place. The area supports grazing and cropping on the Charlton to St Arnaud Road.
