About Nyah
Nyah is a town in northern Victoria on the banks of the Murray River, on the Murray Valley Highway in the Rural City of Swan Hill, about 25 kilometres north-west of Swan Hill. The town began in the 1890s as the Taverner Community Village Settlement, and the name is thought to come from an Aboriginal word describing a bend in the Murray River.
