About Natimuk
Natimuk is a town in the Wimmera region of western Victoria, about 300 kilometres north-west of Melbourne and 25 kilometres west of Horsham. Surveyed in 1875 and settled by South Australian farmers of German Lutheran background, it grew as a service centre for the surrounding grain and sheep country. The town is best known as the base for Mount Arapiles, ten kilometres to the west, one of Australia's premier rock-climbing areas, and it also hosts the biennial Nati Frinj arts festival.
