About Mount Cole Creek
Mount Cole Creek is a rural locality in the Ararat Shire of western Victoria, on the western side of Mount Cole between Ararat and Beaufort. The granite mountain was formed 390 million years ago, and its timbered slopes were worked by nineteenth-century sawmills, with Mount Cole State Forest covering much of the surrounding hills.
