About Mead
Mead is a small rural locality in the Gannawarra Shire of northern Victoria, around 235 kilometres north-west of Melbourne. Set amid the flat irrigated farmland of the Murray-Darling Basin, it is close to the Kerang Wetlands, a network of over 50 lakes and lagoons that support one of Australia's largest ibis rookeries.
