About Lake Lonsdale
Lake Lonsdale is a rural locality in the Wimmera region of Victoria, situated approximately 280 kilometres north-west of Melbourne near Stawell. Named after the nearby reservoir on Mt William Creek, the area is set in the hilly country at the base of the Grampians Ranges. The reservoir is a popular recreational destination for fishing, boating, camping and water skiing.
