About Black Range (Vic.)
Rural locality in the Northern Grampians region of western Victoria, about 220 kilometres west of Melbourne. Named for a prominent ridgeline of dark-coloured hills running through the district, it is a sparsely settled farming community focused on sheep grazing and cereal cropping. The nearby town of Great Western is known for its historic underground wine cellars.
