About Eynesbury

Eynesbury is a developing township on the Werribee River about 44 kilometres west of Melbourne, straddling the boundary of the Cities of Melton and Wyndham. It grew up around a grazing property taken up by the Staughton family in 1841; the Eynesbury Homestead and Gardens, with buildings dating from the 1870s, is listed as a Place of State Significance and now anchors a new residential estate. The area retains one of Victoria's largest remaining grey box forests, registered with the National Estate, and has a championship golf course.
