About Bayswater (Vic.)
Bayswater is a residential and industrial suburb of Melbourne, 28 km east of the central business district, in the City of Knox at the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges. It grew from orchards and dairy holdings established by early German settlers, then developed a large post-war manufacturing area, while its railway station on the Belgrave line and Mountain Highway shopping strips anchor the suburb today.
