About Moroka
Moroka is a rural locality in the Shire of Wellington in the Victorian Alps, north-east of Licola at the foot of Mount Wellington, where the Moroka River rises below the mountain. The river flows north through the locality and the Moroka Gorge to join the Wonnangatta River, and walking tracks from Horseyard Flat follow it downstream to the Moroka Falls. Historic cattlemen's huts such as Moroka Hut, built in 1946, dot the surrounding high country.
