About Lake Wellington
Lake Wellington is a locality in the Wellington district of Victoria, named after the lake of the same name, one of the largest of the Gippsland Lakes. Known as Murla in the Gunai language, the shallow lake is fed by the Avon, Latrobe and Thomson rivers, and the Gippsland Lakes drain into Bass Strait through an entrance near Lakes Entrance.
