About Bendoc

Bendoc is a remote locality in the Shire of East Gippsland, sitting on the Bendoc River near the New South Wales border at the foot of Mount Delegate. Originally a gold mining town after alluvial discoveries in the 1850s, it later shifted to dairying and sawmilling, and the surrounding area of timbered ridges and river valleys borders the Snowy River National Park.
