About Allambee South
Allambee South is a small rural locality in the Strzelecki Ranges foothills of South Gippsland, Victoria, about 130 kilometres south-east of Melbourne near Mirboo North. The area is characterised by rolling hill country used for dairy grazing, with remnant forest and scenic landscapes throughout. The name Allambee derives from an Aboriginal word meaning to sit or to remain a while, and the locality lies within reach of Tarra-Bulga National Park.
