About Lake Eildon
The Eildon Dam is an embankment dam across the Goulburn River, located in the Alpine region of Victoria, Australia. The dam is situated between the regional towns of Mansfield and Eildon within Lake Eildon National Park. Built between 1915 and 1929, with subsequent modifications, the purpose of the dam is for potable water supply, irrigation, and the generation of hydroelectricity.
