About Dinner Plain
Dinner Plain is an alpine village in Victoria's High Country, on the Great Alpine Road about 12 kilometres from Mount Hotham. Built among snow gums at roughly 1,500 metres above sea level, it is Australia's only alpine village made up of freehold allotments, with chalet architecture inspired by the region's historic cattlemen's huts. Surrounded by the Alpine National Park, it offers cross-country ski trails, a beginner ski slope and tobogganing in winter.
