About Barwon Heads
Barwon Heads is a coastal town on the Bellarine Peninsula, about 22 kilometres south-east of Geelong in Victoria, on the western bank of the mouth of the Barwon River, which separates it from Ocean Grove. Known as the Village by the Sea, it grew from a fishing village in the 1870s, is linked to Ocean Grove by the 1927 bridge over the river, and rose to fame in the late 1990s as the filming location of the ABC television series SeaChange.
