About Wychitella
Wychitella is a rural locality 17 kilometres north of Wedderburn on the former railway line to Charlton, separated from that town by low ranges that include the Wychitella Nature Conservation Reserve. The area supports wheat and sheep farming on land first selected for settlement in the mid-1870s. The reserve is notable as habitat for the Mallee Fowl.
