About Kooroocheang

Kooroocheang is a small rural locality in the Hepburn Shire of the Central Highlands in Victoria, about 40 kilometres north of Ballarat. The locality takes its name from Mount Kooroocheang, a dormant scoria cone volcano rising to 676 metres above sea level with a rare spatter vent at its summit. The surrounding landscape consists of rolling volcanic plains, broad farming properties and gully systems including Walkers Gully, which features three waterfalls.
