About Carngham
Carngham is a locality in the Shire of Pyrenees in western Victoria, about 25 km west of Ballarat. Once a gold mining township, its gold field lay at the edge of a mining district that ran south-east to Snake Valley after discoveries began in 1855. Today Carngham is a pastoral locality of open farmland and scattered homesteads, with the Carngham Memorial Uniting Church as a local landmark.
