About Ouse
Ouse is a small town in the Central Highlands of Tasmania on the Lyell Highway, at the junction with Victoria Valley Road and on the banks of the Ouse River. Established in 1842, it lies about 95 kilometres north-west of Hobart and serves as a stop for travellers crossing the highlands. The surrounding landscape is dry sclerophyll forest and grazing country in the Upper Derwent Valley.
