About Glendevie
Glendevie is a rural locality in the Huon Valley of southern Tasmania, about 12 km south of Geeveston. The district, originally known as Snake Plains, was renamed Glendevie in 1923. It developed as a timber-milling area before turning to orcharding, and today forms part of the Huon Valley's apple and cherry growing country, with a small community set among rolling hills and temperate bushland.
