About Reedy Marsh
Reedy Marsh is a rural locality in the Meander Valley of northern Tasmania, about 11 kilometres north of Deloraine and 23 kilometres north-west of Westbury. The name derives from the reedy marshlands that characterise the district, where Irish immigrants took up small-scale farming from the 1850s. It is a sparsely settled area of rolling pastoral hills, with dairy and beef cattle farming the main activity.
