About Blackwood Creek

Blackwood Creek is a small farming community in northern Tasmania, about 31 kilometres south-west of Longford at the base of the Great Western Tiers. It is named after the blackwood tree, a species used in high-quality furniture, and was once a resting place for shepherds on their way to summer grazing on the Central Plateau.
