About Nepean Bay
Nepean Bay is a locality in the Australian state of South Australia located on the southern shore of Western Cove in Nepean Bay on the north coast of Kangaroo Island and about 128 kilometres (80 miles) south-west of the state capital of Adelaide and about 10 kilometres (6.2 miles) south-south-west of the municipal seat of Kingscote. The settlement in Nepean Bay was laid out by Nepean Developments Ltd in 1961 on sections 143 and 144 in the cadastral unit of the Hundred of Haines. Its boundaries were created in May 2002 for “the long established name” which is derived from the adjoining bay.
