About Five Miles
Five Miles is a very small locality in the Mid Murray district of South Australia, about 73 kilometres east of Adelaide near the town of Mannum. The locality functions largely as an administrative area, consisting of scattered shack and holiday-home properties along the western bank of the Murray River at Younghusband, with private jetties for boat mooring and fishing. Access is by a seven kilometre drive from Mannum over a ferry, and the area is characterised by its quiet, riverside setting.
