About Cadell
Cadell is a small river town in the Mid Murray Council area of South Australia, situated on the banks of the Murray River approximately 30 kilometres south-east of Morgan. The town was established in the 1850s as a river port and retains its character as a quiet river settlement surrounded by vineyards, citrus orchards and grazing land. Cadell sits within the broader Riverland landscape of red gum forests, river red gum-lined waterways and the agricultural productivity of the Murray River floodplain.
