About North West Bend
North West Bend is a locality in the Mid Murray Council area of South Australia, situated at the acute bend in the Murray River where the river turns from flowing westward to southward. The bend gave its name to the nearby Nor' West Bend pastoral station, established in the 1840s, and the town of Morgan was originally known as North West Bend before being renamed in 1878.
