About Apamurra
Apamurra is a small settlement in South Australia, about 38 km north of Murray Bridge. Laid out in 1921 around a siding on the Monarto-Sedan railway, its name is an Aboriginal word meaning fresh water. It had a post office from 1922 until 1971, and its grain silos were served by the railway until the last train ran in 2005.
