Stirling North is a small semi-rural locality in the City of Port Augusta in the Upper Spencer Gulf region of South Australia, situated approximately 5 kilometres south of the city of Port Augusta. The area is characterised by pastoral land, low shrubland and the arid landscape of the northern Flinders Ranges foothills. Stirling North lies within the broader Port Augusta district, a major transport hub where the Stuart Highway, Eyre Highway and railway lines converge, with the surrounding landscape transitioning from semi-arid to arid further north.
