About Motpena
Motpena is a remote pastoral locality in the Far North of South Australia, on the Outback Highway in the Flinders Ranges. The station country extends from the shore of Lake Torrens to the foothills of the ranges, with floodplains fed by the Parachilna and Cottage creeks. Near the highway stand the Motpena Ruins, the remains of railway fettlers' cottages from the old north-south railway line.
