About Beltana Station
Beltana Station is a locality in the Far North of South Australia, on land between Lake Torrens and the Flinders Ranges, about 475 km north of Adelaide. It covers the pastoral lease of the historic Beltana sheep station, first taken up in 1854 and formed into the station by Thomas Elder in 1862. The station ran livestock and bred camels for the Overland Telegraph Line and exploration, and the Beltana Station Homestead is listed on the South Australian Heritage Register.
