About Minbrie
Minbrie is a sparsely settled rural locality on the Eyre Peninsula of South Australia, within the District Council of Franklin Harbour, about 223 kilometres north-west of Adelaide. The name is an Aboriginal word meaning "fair," originally applied to the Hundred of Minbrie proclaimed in 1878. The landscape is flat to gently undulating semi-arid pastoral country, and the Minbrie Copper Project is an active exploration venture on the Gawler Craton within the locality.
