About Merghiny
Merghiny is a rural locality on the Eyre Peninsula of South Australia, in the District Council of Ceduna on the Eyre Highway. The locality gave its name to the Merghiny Stars, an Australian rules football club that played in the County of Way Football Association (now the Western Eyre Football League) from 1911 to 1914.
