About Washpool (SA)
Washpool is a small rural locality in the Mid North of South Australia, about 173 kilometres north of Adelaide in the Northern Areas Council area. On the traditional lands of the Nukunu and Ngadjuri peoples, the sparsely settled district is given over to broadacre cereal cropping and grazing, with the township of Spalding and the Bundaleer forest country nearby. The first European settlers arrived in the early 1840s.
