About Sevenhill
Sevenhill is a town in the Clare Valley of South Australia, about 130 km north of Adelaide, set in hilly country at the head of the Hutt River. It was founded by Austrian Jesuit priests in 1850 and named in homage to the seven hills of Rome. Sevenhill Cellars, established by the Jesuits in 1851, is the oldest winery in the Clare Valley and the only Jesuit-owned winery in Australia.
