About Point Turton
Point Turton is a coastal town on the Yorke Peninsula overlooking Hardwicke Bay in Spencer Gulf, about 114 kilometres west of Adelaide. Named by marine surveyor Captain John Hutchinson, the former quarry pit is now the Point Turton Caravan Park and the Walk the Yorke trail passes along the foreshore. Popular for boating, sailing, windsurfing, diving and fishing, the growing seaside settlement is a retirement and holiday destination.
